Moorgate Campus Refurbishment
Our contract at the University was awarded though the OGC Framework and encompassed the major internal refurbishment of elements of the Moorgate Campus building. The project included the refurbishment of 70 classrooms and lecture areas over seven floors with works being undertaken whilst partially occupied and within a very tight programme. Works included the refurbishment to ceilings, floors, general redecoration and the installation of new data and associated power.
As part of the programme, we also refurbished general academic administration offices, the lecture theatres and IT suites which included new air conditioning and cooling systems.
A unique new feature to the university involved the construction of a brand new state of the art acoustic interpreting laboratory and the conversion of office areas to a new ‘Undergraduate Centre’. In addition we also undertook external works to the mansard roofs including slate and lead work repairs and the refurbishment of three external light wells.
