Ixworth Place, London
Working with Southern Housing Group, our contract at Ixworth Place in London’s fashionable Chelsea, involved us undertaking a 2 year programme of upgrades to residential properties.
The works, which form part of SHG’s Decent Homes Programme, included the complete refurbishment of all kitchens and bathrooms, full electrical re-wire throughout the property and a heating system upgrades from the former storage heaters to a new more energy efficient gas central heating and boiler system.
The Samuel Lewis Trust Buildings at Ixworth Place comprises 304 units varying from 1, 2, and 3 bedroomed flats in 9 buildings, each over 4 floors.
As part of our resident liaison and community initiatives programme, we have a full time on site resident liaison officer who co-ordinates and liaises with the residents on all activities that are to be carried out in
their home.
We recently held an open day at the local community centre, whereby residents could come and meet us and gain a better understanding of the works being carried out.
In addition, they were able to also get a glimpse at the options available to them in choosing the final finishes to their kitchens and bathrooms.
